SignMail

Overview

When Sorenson videophone users or hearing people call you through Sorenson VRS, they can leave you a SignMail video if you cannot answer a call.

To Turn On the Feature

This SignMail feature is enabled by default and no action needs to be taken on your part to enable it. If you do not see the feature, please contact us.

To Change the Greeting Message

  1. Start at the Home screen
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select SignMail
  4. Select Personal Greeting
    • The Sorenson greeting message is selected by default. The other options are:
      • Personal greeting
        • Video Only
        • Video with Text
        • Text Only
      • No greeting
  5. Select Save

How do I send SignMail alerts to email address(es)?

  1. Start at the Home screen
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select SignMail
  4. Select SignMail
  5. Check the Notify me when new SignMail arrives checkbox
  6. Enter email address(es)
  7. Select Save button

Troubleshooting SignMail

  • The Mailbox Full error message appears when someone tries to leave me a SignMail
    • Check to make sure SignMail is not full. 
      • If it is full, please delete some SignMail to be able to receive SignMail
  • The "Can't send a SignMail", "Call Disconnected", or "Call Could Not Be Completed" error message appears when someone tries to leave a SignMail
    • Check to make sure the phone number is not blocked in the phonebook
