1080p Video

Overview

The ntouch VP2 sets a new standard in video quality for video calls with up to 1080p resolution. Because it is created specifically for the Deaf community, the ntouch VP2 optimizes the video for ASL communication.

To Change the Self-View Image Video Settings during a call

  1. When in an active call, press the OK key on the remote control to open the In-call options bar.
  2. Move to the Video button in the In-call options bar.
  3. Select the Video button to open the Video menu.
    • The Video menu lets you choose to adjust these video settings during a call:
      • Use the Zoom & Pan button to zoom or move the image that is being recorded by your camera.
      • Use the View Mode button to select the active View mode. The three choices are:
        1. Full-screen with Self-view
        2. Split-screen
        3. Full-screen without Self-view
      • Use the Focus control to adjust the camera’s focus.
      • Use the Brightness/Saturation control to adjust the camera’s brightness and color saturation levels.
  4. Select the Zoom & Pan button to open the controls.
    • Use the Zoom control to zoom the camera image in and out.
    • Press the OK key on the remote control to move between the Zoom and Pan controls.
    • Use the Pan control to move the camera image up, down, left or right.
  5. Select the Focus button to open the controls.
    • Use the Focus control to manually adjust the camera’s focus.
    • Select the Auto Focus button to reactivate the camera’s auto focus function.
    • When you use Auto Focus, remember to sit very still to let the camera find the best focus. If needed, you can select Auto Focus again until you get a satisfactory image.
  6. Select the Brightness and Saturation button to open the controls.
    • Use the Brightness control to manually adjust the camera’s brightness level.
    • Use the Saturation control to manually adjust the camera’s color saturation level.

To zoom and/or pan my Self-view image

You can zoom or pan your Self-view image either before or during a videophone call.

  1. To adjust your Self-view image before a call, start at the Home screen.
    1. Move to the Video image area to see the screen.
      • Selecting the Video image reveals the Camera Controls button.
    2. Select the Camera Controls button to see the screen.
      • Selecting the Camera Controls button reveals these View control buttons:
        • Selecting the Zoom & Pan button reveals the camera zoom and pan controls. 
        • Selecting the Focus button reveals the camera focus controls.
        • Selecting the Brightness/Saturation button reveals the video image controls.
    3. Select the Zoom & Pan button to open the screen.
      • To use the Zoom control, press the Left and Right Arrow keys on the remote control to zoom the Self image in and out.
      • To use the Pan control, press the UpDownLeft and Right Arrow keys on the remote control to move the camera image up, down, left or right.
      • Press the OK key on the remote control to move between the Zoom and Pan controls.
    4. Select the Brightness/Saturation button to open the screen.
      1. To use the Brightness control, press the Left and Right arrow keys on the remote control to decrease or increase the brightness. 
      2. To use the Saturation control, press the Left and Right arrow keys on the remote control to saturate the video. 
  2. To adjust your Self-view image during a call, start at the In-call screen.
    1. Press the OK key on the remote control to open the In-call options bar.
    2. Select the Video button to open the Video menu.
    3. Select the Zoom & Pan button to open the controls.
      • Use the Zoom control to zoom the camera image in and out.
      • Press the OK key on the remote control to move between the Zoom and Pan controls.
      • Use the Pan control to move the camera image up, down, left or right.
    4. Select the Brightness/Saturation button to open the controls.
      1. Use the Brightness control to decrease or increase the brightness of the camera image.
      2. Use the Saturation control to decrease or increase the saturation of the camera image.

To Change the View Mode during a call

  1. When in an active call, press the OK key on the remote control to open the In-call options bar and then move to the Video button.
  2. Select the Video button to open the Video menu.
  3. Move to the View Mode button to highlight the button.
  4. Select the View Mode button to switch to the Split-screen mode.
  5. Select the View Mode button again to use the Full-screen without Self-view mode.
    • You can continuing selecting the View Mode button to toggle between the three available View mode options: Full-screen with Self-viewSplit-screen and Full-screen without Self-view.
    • When you are finished selecting a View mode, press the Back key on the remote control to return to the full In-call options bar. 

To Move the Self-View Image during a call

  1. When in an active call, press the OK key on the remote control to open the In-call options bar 
    • Notice the Self-view image shows its Move picture controls. To move the Self-view image around the four corners of the screen, you must first move to the image.
  2. Use the arrow keys on the remove control to move to the Self-view image. The image will then be highlighted 
  3. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to move the Self-view image down to the bottom-right corner of the screen 
    • You can move the image to any of the four corners of the screen using the arrow keys on the remote control.

To Turn On or Off the Video Privacy Automatically for Incoming Call

  1. Start at the Home screen.
  2. Select the Settings button to open the screen.
  3. Select the Device Options button to open the screen.
  4. Select the Privacy/Notifications to open the screen.
  5. Select the Always answer calls in Privacy Mode.

Troubleshooting

There is no known issue with the 1080p Video feature.
