Bluetooth Device Support

Overview

ntouch VP2 supports the use of wireless Bluetooth keyboards. This feature makes it easier to share text while in a call.

To Turn On the Feature

  1. Start at the Home screen
  2. Select the Settings button to open the screen
  3. Select the Device Options button to open the screen
  4. Move to the Bluetooth button
  5. Move to the Allow Bluetooth devices? checkbox
  6. Select the Allow Bluetooth devices? checkbox to add a check
    • Selecting the Allow Bluetooth devices? checkbox as revealed the Scan for devices... button at the top-right of the screen.
  7. Move to the Scan for devices... button
  8. Put your Bluetooth device into its “pairing” (or “connect”) mode before continuing. Your ntouch VP2 will not be able to detect the device unless it is ready to pair.
    • Instruction for Logitech Keyboard K480:
      1. The keyboard’s On/Off switch is in the On position. (On the base)
      2. Turn the selector dial to channel 1 on the keyboard. 
      3. Press and hold down the pc connect button for 3 seconds.
    Select the Scan for devices... button to begin the scan
  9. When the scan is completed, you will see a message that the device is found
  10. Select the Pair button for the device you want to connect to the videophone
    • If you see a dialog that says the connection failed, select the Try again button in the dialog to restart the pairing.
  11. You will then see a pairing request dialog
  12. On the Bluetooth keyboard, type the code shown in the dialog to complete the pairing process
    • The right side of the screen now shows a list of Saved/Paired Bluetooth devices. The green checkmark next to the device name shows that the device is currently connected. You can have more than one keyboard paired and connected at a time.
    • Return to the Home screen by pressing the Home key on the remote control. Your selections will be saved.
  13. If you need to unpair a device, move to the device you want to unpair
  14. To unpair the device, select the Unpair button to open the dialog.
  15. Select the Yes button to unpair the device.

  • Which Bluetooth keyboard is supported with ntouch VP2?
    • You can connect Bluetooth keyboards to your ntouch VP2. Sorenson has confirmed that these keyboards work with ntouch VP2:
      • Apple Wireless Keyboard
      • GGMM B-Typer BK-310
      • Logitech K380 and K480 
      • SIIG Wireless Mini
      • SPARIN Mini Bluetooth Keyboard
