SignMail

Overview

SignMail lets you view videos received from both hearing callers through SVRS and from other deaf Sorenson users.

Setup SignMail Greeting

  1. Select SignMail > Set Greeting Message 
  2. Choose an option:
    • Sorenson greeting
    • No greeting
    • Text only
    • Personal greeting
  3. Select Done

Receive SignMail email notification

  1. Select Settings > Controls
    • You may need to select General otherwise go to #4
  2. Check the box for Send me SignMail alerts?
  3. Enter email address(es)
  4. Select Done
  5. Open your email "Verification Needed to Activate your SignMail Account."
  6. Tap the hyperlink to activate the SignMail Account
    • If you do not see the verification email, check junk or spam folder

Send or Reply to Direct-Dial Call (Enhanced SignMail)

Note: You will not receive email notifications or Missed calls from Enhanced SignMails

  1. Select SignMail then choose one of the options:
    1. Select a video in the list then select Reply
    2. Select New SignMail 
    3. Choose an option:
      • All SignMails
      • Unwatched
      • Contacts
      • Call History
      • Favorites
      • Dialer

Turn on SignMail icon light on my camera and/or Pulse Flasher

  1. Select Setting > Device Options > Privacy/Notifications
  2. Check the box for Show SignMail and Missed Call notifications on my camera?
  3. Check the box for Show SignMail and Missed Call notifications on my Pulse?

Additional information

  • Verification email will be sent to the first email address whenever you change the email address. Once the email address is verified, the confirmation email will be sent to both email addresses if you have two email addresses set up.
    • If you do not see the verification email, check junk or spam folder.
  • SignMail video will be deleted after 30 days. 

Did you know

  • You cannot send a SignMail video to hearing phone numbers or to non-Sorenson numbers.
  • You also cannot send a SignMail to Sorenson endpoint that is blocking calls from your phone number or to an endpoint that is set to Public mode.
  • You can record for the full 120 seconds (2 minutes) or you can choose to end the recording sooner. 
  • If a phone number that you entered or selected cannot receive SignMail videos, you will see the dialog shown below. This dialog reminds you that you cannot send a SignMail video message to hearing phone numbers or to third-party (non-Sorenson) numbers.
    • Can't Send SignMail
      • The number can't receive a SignMail. Call this number directly?
